POSITION OVERVIEW
BDC is the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs. As a Senior Client Partner 1, you will develop and manage relationships with small and medium-sized business clients, providing financing and advisory solutions that support their growth. Your work contributes directly to the success of Canadian businesses while helping clients achieve their strategic and financial objectives. CHALLENGES TO BE MET
- Build and maintain a portfolio of business clients in the North York market.
- Identify client needs and deliver appropriate business solutions.
- Develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market outreach.
- Analyze client information and assess opportunities and risks.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal partners to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Contribute to BDC's mission of supporting the growth of Canadian entrepreneurs.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing business-to-business (B2B) client relationships.
- Experience in commercial lending, business financing, banking, financial services, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze financial statements, cash flow, and business performance indicators.
- Knowledge of credit analysis and risk assessment principles.
- Proven experience developing new business opportunities and managing a client portfolio.
- Strong communication, relationship management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
- Experience in commercial banking, equipment financing, asset-based lending, or business advisory services.
- Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or related financial credential.
- Established business network within the North York and Greater Toronto Area market.
- Bilingualism (English/French) or additional language skills relevant to the local market.
- Experience using CRM systems and financial analysis tools.
