The Senior Director of Sales Enablement and Training leads the strategy and execution of programs that equip our commercial teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This role drives enterprise-wide enablement initiatives that strengthen capability, performance, and business impact. By aligning training, tools, insights, and operations, the leader ensures teams are prepared to engage customers with confidence and credibility. The position partners across multiple cross-functional stakeholders to accelerate execution and drive adoption of strategic priorities. Through a relentless focus on excellence, innovation, and customer outcomes, this leader helps advance Dexcom's mission and growth.

Where you come in:

The Senior Director, Sales Enablement and Training, is responsible for leading the planning, governance, and execution of commercial capability-building initiatives that support organizational performance and strategic growth. This leader oversees a broad portfolio spanning onboarding, training, leadership development, field readiness, launch preparedness, content governance, and enablement operations. Working across a highly matrixed North America commercial organization, the Senior Director aligns priorities and resources across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Clinical Education, Sales Leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of commercial strategies. The role serves as a strategic advisor to commercial leadership, translating business objectives into scalable programs, processes, and performance improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to drive organizational alignment while balancing short-term business needs with long-term capability development. The Senior Director is accountable for fostering a culture of continuous learning, execution excellence, and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and oversee the enterprise sales enablement and training roadmap, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and organizational goals.
- Lead a high-performing training and enablement organization responsible for onboarding, continuous learning, leadership development, and field readiness programs.
- Provides strategic leadership for the Patient Care organization, driving customer support operations, patient-facing service excellence, onboarding experiences, and support readiness.
- Develop governance, measurement, and performance frameworks to evaluate enablement effectiveness and inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Partner with commercial leadership to identify capability gaps and implement scalable solutions that improve execution, adoption, and organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee launch readiness strategies and enablement planning for new products, indications, reimbursement expansions, and commercial initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of content, learning experiences, systems, and field tools to support consistent execution across customer-facing teams.
- Collaborate with Commercial Operations to optimize training and enablement processes, technology adoption, CRM utilization, and reporting capabilities.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships to drive organizational alignment, accelerate decision-making, and support achievement of business objectives.
- Develop talent, succession plans, and leadership capabilities within the enablement organization while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What makes you successful:

You are a strategic leader with deep expertise in sales enablement, training, and commercial operations within healthcare or regulated industries. You have a strong understanding of how to translate strategy into execution and drive measurable improvements in sales performance.

You also bring:

- 8–12+ years of experience in sales, sales enablement, or commercial operations within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including providers (HCPs), payers, and patient dynamics.
- Experience working in regulated environments with knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, HIPAA).
- Proven success building and scaling enablement programs that improve productivity, win rates, and time-to-performance.
- Expertise in selling models, Omni Channel and CRM platforms.
- Experience leveraging data, analytics, and insights to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting diabetes or chronic disease management solutions (e.g., CGM, insulin, digital health) is preferred.

Experience and Education Requirements:

- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 17+ years of industry experience
- 13+ years of successful leadership management experience in relevant industry

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
