SAGE Veterinary Centers in Concord is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for a three-month temporary assignment primarily supporting our Internal Medicine team. This part-time position is a great opportunity for someone with strong foundational veterinary assisting skills who enjoys hands-on patient care, working with clients, and supporting a collaborative specialty team.
While your primary home will be Internal Medicine, you may also have opportunities to assist other specialty departments based on hospital needs.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will
- Support the Internal Medicine team with daily patient care and hospital workflow
- Safely handle and restrain patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Collect blood and other laboratory samples
- Assist with procedures within the appropriate scope of your role
- Prepare patients and necessary supplies for procedures and treatments
- Support accurate and efficient laboratory sample collection and handling
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care needs
- Maintain clean, organized, and prepared treatment and procedure areas
- Provide support to other specialty departments when needed
What You Bring
- Previous hands-on veterinary hospital experience
- Confidence with animal handling and restraint
- Experience with blood sample collection
- Ability to assist with veterinary procedures within your scope
- Strong client communication skills
- Attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Interest in Internal Medicine and specialty veterinary care
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $26.00–$32.00/hour, depending on experience
