The Digital Media, Specialist will be a key member of the Social, Content and Media team and help support our efforts to increase engagement, followers and grow revenue in this space in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. This detail-oriented job includes researching, developing, trafficking, scheduling, and publishing all social media content with a focus on our community engagement events and for leading cross-departmental collaboration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Develop innovative solutions and creative new ideas for engaging social media campaigns that highlight our brand, continuously recommending best in class ways to improve content.
- Research target audiences and other nonprofit social activities to discover trends for content and campaigns. Present learnings to Marketing Department and Leadership Team.
- Become a social media thought leader by staying up to date with best practices and changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness. Continuously present learnings to cross functional team and marketing leadership.
- Develop and execute a digital gaming strategy to increase engagement and identify revenue opportunities.
- Develop annual plans to drive brand relevance and revenue while achieving specific business goals including growing followers, increasing engagement, revenue growth and key mission priorities.
- Create digital content and secure buy-in across a complex organization that is engaging and that also generates interest in our brands, leads, donors and advocates. This includes development of video, GIFs, static posts and other organic and paid ad units.
- Ability to create copy, source photography and videos for quick, pithy, and informative content.
- Assist in curating content across social media accounts, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Schedule, post, manage all content on ACS of Puerto Rico, Inc. and the ACS, US Virgin Islands social media platforms with a focus on our community engagement events such as virtual challenges, Relay for Life, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Grand Gala and CEOs Against Cancer.
- Manages calendar development and reporting of social activity for these initiatives.
- Schedule and liaise with both external agency and internal resources to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.
- Assist in monitoring active marketing programs and developing ways to improve those campaigns.
- Submit ideas for experimental marketing programs designed to enhance and grow the company's brand.
- Reviews ad copy, marketing campaigns and monitors community activity and our agency partnership for this initiative.
- Manages billing, trafficking, reporting and analytics for the social, content and media teams.
- Identify and connect with influencers and content creators who could be a good fit for ACS of PR.
- Maintain and present monthly channel reports and possess the ability to identify insights and optimizations.
- Coordinate analysis for understanding target audience behaviors.
- Utilize social media management platforms & listening tools.
- Train field staff and others on social media best practices and digital fundraising tactics. This includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and emerging channels.
- Assist with various assignments, social media-based and beyond, according to the needs of the organization.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing or a related field
- Previous experience in the development and implementation of social media planning and buying strategies and a strong familiarity with online marketing best practices; 3+ years of marketing experience
- Years of experience: 1-3+ years’ experience with social media focus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

- Social Publishing tools (Social Studio, Hootsuite, etc.)

The rate for this role is $35,800. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
