About this role

We are excited to be hiring a Senior Director of Global Litigation Management, Global Legal Pharma. This role reports directly to the Head of Global Litigation and oversees three operations teams (GLP’s Litigation Resource Center, eDiscovery, and the Information Advisory and Protection Law Group). This is a dynamic new role combining strategic executive partnership with enterprise-wide operational leadership. As Senior Director of Global Litigation Management, this individual will be the senior leader accountable for the cost-efficient, technology-enabled, and high-quality delivery of litigation support services across Roche Pharma’s global litigation portfolio. The individual will also serve as a day-to-day thought partner and impact multiplier for the Head of Global Litigation — driving operational cadence, orchestrating strategic initiatives, and serving as a chief operational anchor to ensure alignment and effective execution across the global litigation team and its functions.

This role is based on the Genentech campus in South San Francisco, California, without relocation funding.

- Oversees the Global Litigation function’s technology strategy and roadmap, including partnering with other internal stakeholders on electronic billing, matter management, document and knowledge management, eDiscovery platforms, and AI-enabled legal tools, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose and adopted effectively across the function.
- Regularly assesses processes, workflows, and systems across the Global Litigation team, driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce spend, and improve quality of output.
- Develops and maintains robust knowledge management systems and practices that ensure institutional knowledge is captured, organized, and accessible across the global team.

Strategy & Business Enablement

- Serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Head of Global Litigation, enabling the Head to focus on the highest-value legal, strategic, and leadership priorities.
- Steers the development and management of the Global Litigation Team’s budget, including forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, and the identification of cost savings and efficiency opportunities across the portfolio.
- Manages internal communications within the Global Litigation team, as well with internal and external business partners.
- Develops and executes short and long term operations plans, as well as strategic initiatives, including change management.
- Organizes and facilitates meetings of the Global Litigation leadership team, including agenda-setting, pre-reads, follow-up on action items, and ensuring accountability for key decisions.
- Participates in leadership decision-making and strategy development, synthesizing complex inputs from across the function and distilling them into clear options and recommendations.
- Leads and coordinates the implementation of the Global Litigation team’s operational and strategic objectives, tracking progress against goals and escalating issues proactively.
- Serves as a connector and relationship-builder across Global Legal Pharma, identifying opportunities for alignment and collaboration across practice groups, regions, and operational functions.
