The Opportunity:
As the Director, Student-Athlete Development and Alumni Relations , you will provide leadership and oversight for Student-Athlete Development programs that support the personal, professional, and career growth of student-athletes. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics, Academics & Student-Athlete Development, you will lead strategic planning efforts, assess program effectiveness, oversee career readiness initiatives, and supervise Student-Athlete Development staff.
You will also serve as the primary administrator for Alumni Relations, including the Gray W Varsity Club, while building and maintaining partnerships with alumni, employers, and campus stakeholders. Through these relationships and initiatives, you will help expand opportunities and resources that support the continued success of current and former student-athletes.
Additional Information:
This is a full time ( 100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,061.90 - $5,000 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 , the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
- Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
- Strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated successful experience with program development and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an Athletics Department or University Setting (this can include volunteering or working with various Councils or Committees)
- Experience working in College Athletics.
- Experience leading or facilitating educational workshops to students and staff in a workplace setting.
- Demonstrated successful experience with program development and implementation and the ability to initiate and complete projects independently with specific deadlines.
- Ability to work with students, coaches and administrators in a broad range of situations.
- Demonstrated computer background with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, career searching software, and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated successful experience working and connecting with a diverse population and understanding of multicultural issues.
- Demonstrated work experience with evidence of strong organizational, time management, communication, and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated effective decision-making and problem-solving skills in an athletics department setting.
- Experience that demonstrates genuine concern and interest for welfare of student-athletes.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the following NCAA rules and regulations.
