THE ROLE

As our HR Executive, you will run day-to-day people operations for the India team. This is a hands-on role. You will own attendance, payroll inputs, compliance and the employee lifecycle yourself, and you will be the first point of contact for employees on HR matters. We are looking for someone who is precise with process, calm and clear with people, and comfortable in a fast-growing company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Attendance & Payroll: Manage daily attendance through the HRMS, process shift allowances and overtime, and prepare accurate monthly payroll inputs, including joiners, exits, and full-and-final settlements.

- Statutory Compliance: Manage PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and gratuity requirements; maintain Karnataka Shops & Establishments registers and filings; and ensure HR practices remain aligned with applicable Labour Codes.

- Employee Lifecycle: Own the employee lifecycle from offer letters and background verification through onboarding, induction, HR documentation, and exit formalities.

- Employee Relations: Respond to employee queries and grievances promptly, and handle attendance, performance, and conduct-related matters fairly and confidentially.

- Employee Welfare & Engagement: Plan and execute employee engagement and welfare initiatives, including support for night-shift teams covering transportation, safety, and wellbeing.

- HR Policies & POSH: Draft, update, and implement HR policies covering leave, maternity, attendance, shifts, conduct, grievances, and exits. Support POSH compliance and coordinate with the Internal Committee.

- HR Records & Vendor Management: Maintain accurate employee records and HRMS data, and coordinate with payroll, insurance, facilities, and other HR service providers.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in HR Operations or a similar HR Generalist role.

- Experience managing attendance and payroll inputs for a sizeable workforce , including shifts, overtime, joiners, exits, and full-and-final settlements.

- Strong working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance , including Labour Codes, maternity benefits, POSH, gratuity, and the Karnataka Shops & Establishments Act.

- Hands-on experience with an HRMS such as Keka, greytHR, or Zoho People, along with strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.

- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Kannada or Hindi is a plus.

- High ownership and strong attention to detail , with a hands-on approach and a willingness to execute rather than delegate.

- Bachelor’s degree required ; a Master’s in HR, such as MBA/PGDM/MSW in HR or Labour Welfare, is preferred.
