Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Manager – Business Management 1  to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

- Develops , monitors, and maintains business management processes, tools, and procedures to manage contract business execution and drive business performance
- Accountable for the Estimate-at-Complete (EAC), contract profitability assessments/reviews, and application of the Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- Leads the OU financial forecast process.  Manages and presents OU financial results to senior and executive leadership
- Manages preparation and review of OU annual operating plans (AOP) and long-range strategic plans (LRSP)
- Proactively works to identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigation or capture plans
- Supports program business rhythm (Program Management Meetings, Risk Review, EAC Reviews)
- Supports FP&A inquiries and Internal Audit activities

The preferred candidate for this position must be able to interface consistently in a professional, collaborative, and organized manner with internal and external business partners while functioning in an environment characterized by frequently changing priorities. The candidate must be able to drive team performance by motivating team members to high levels of engagement and serve by example.  This position requires a strong leader that actively participates in strategy development, effectively develops personal and collective understanding of top issues/risks/opportunities, supports company internal controls and proactively communicates issues to senior management.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 5 years finance/business management experience or a master's degree from an accredited university and 3 years finance/business management work experience.
- Understanding of government contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and FAR.
- Earned Value Management Experience
- Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to a team and/or management.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with people leadership that includes performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planning with demonstrated success in developing and leading functional and cross functional teams
- Experience in presenting financial data to senior leadership
- Experience with SAP, Cobra, and Primavera.
- Experience supporting compliance with SOX, Internal / External Audit activities; CAS, FAR, DFARs requirements a plus, and Company policies and procedures
- Experience supporting Manufacturing
- Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $142,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
