Join Stryker's Advanced Operations (AO) team and play a key role in supporting the successful introduction of new products and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will provide process engineering expertise across product launches, transfers, equipment validation, and manufacturing readiness while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will represent manufacturing and operations throughout product development, partnering with engineering, quality, sourcing, and supplier teams to design scalable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical products.
What You Will Do
- Lead process design, development, and validation activities for new product introductions and product sustainment initiatives.
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical assembly, including printed circuit board assemblies, soldering, potting, injection molding, pressing, torquing, and manual assembly operations.
- Partner with internal and contract manufacturers to implement manufacturing solutions that support quality, cost, and production requirements.
- Create, review, and release technical documentation, manufacturing requirements, validation protocols, and engineering change documentation.
- Conduct process validation activities, capability studies, process risk assessments, control plans, and inspection documentation for product launches and transfers.
- Analyze equipment and process performance through testing, data collection, and statistical methods to identify and implement improvements.
- Lead or support equipment acquisition projects, including specification development, supplier coordination, installation, qualification, and validation.
- Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, supplier, and engineering teams to establish testing protocols, review designs, build prototypes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing, process engineering, product development, or research and development environment.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and their application within manufacturing or product development environments.
- Experience supporting manufacturing processes, product development, or engineering projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or supporting electronics manufacturing, including printed circuit boards, cables, or electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and product architecture drawings.
- Experience with manufacturing test methods, including in-circuit, functional, safety, or product performance testing.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry and knowledge of statistical analysis, process validation, or Design for Manufacturability (DFM) methodologies.
$89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual
