About the Role
As a Graduate Engineer , you will join our NSW Systems team and gain hands-on experience in the design, programming, testing, commissioning, and delivery of Building Management and Control Systems (BMCS). Working alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, you will contribute to a range of exciting projects while building your technical expertise in smart building technologies, automation systems, and energy-efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, programming, testing, and commissioning of Building Management and Control Systems (BMCS) in accordance with customer specifications, Johnson Controls standards, and quality requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of control strategies for both new and existing installations across Johnson Controls and third-party systems.
- Assist in the design and development of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and system visualisations in line with customer and company standards.
- Participate in software testing and validation activities to ensure system performance meets customer requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot system issues and support the implementation of effective solutions.
- Contribute to project documentation, design reviews, and quality assurance processes.
- Support project delivery activities, helping to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Work closely with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, and site personnel to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Assist the pre-sales and engineering teams by providing technical input for system designs, project layouts, and proposal development.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge through training, mentoring, self-learning, and practical project experience.
- Demonstrate a proactive commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain full compliance with Johnson Controls Safety, Health & Environment Management System (SHEMS) requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Recently completed or currently completing a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Control Systems, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Strong interest in building automation, smart buildings, HVAC controls, industrial automation, or control systems.
- Basic understanding of control systems, instrumentation, networking, or software programming principles.
- Exposure to engineering software, IT systems, or server environments would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Full Australian working rights.
