Location: Fulton County, GA
Pay: $20 - $22/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm

Position Overview

American Facility Services is seeking a hands-on Custodial Manager to oversee custodial operations at a major government facility in Fulton County, GA.

This is a working leadership role responsible for managing custodial staff, maintaining cleaning and sanitation standards, ensuring security and compliance requirements are met, and providing exceptional service to the customer. This position requires a strong field presence and a high degree of accountability for staff performance, quality control, and contract compliance.

This is not a desk job. Managers are expected to be actively engaged in daily operations, conduct routine inspections, coach employees, address staffing challenges, and support cleaning operations when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise custodial personnel across assigned facilities.

- Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members.

- Conduct routine inspections and quality audits.

- Hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, safety, and customer service.

- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with contract requirements and facility security protocols.

- Manage staffing schedules, labor hours, supplies, and equipment.

- Respond promptly to operational issues, customer concerns, and emergency situations.

- Maintain strong working relationships with facility representatives.

- Complete required reports, inspections, and documentation accurately and on time.

- Assist with custodial duties when needed to ensure service expectations are met.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- 2+ years of custodial, janitorial, or facility management experience.

- Previous supervisory or management experience required.

- Experience managing employees in government, courthouse, educational, healthcare, or other high-security environments preferred.

- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with quality assurance inspections and contract compliance.

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, bend, kneel, and inspect facilities for extended periods.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

- Ability to operate custodial equipment and perform cleaning tasks when necessary.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as operational needs require.
