Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Clerk, you will be the welcoming face and organizational hub of our clinic, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every patient.Every day, you will expertly manage patient registration and scheduling, efficiently process patient flow, address billing inquiries, and provide essential clerical support. You'll maintain strict confidentiality, handle financial transactions securely, and remain vigilant for any patient needs, all while contributing to a smooth, on-schedule operation.To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional organizational skills, a customer-centric approach, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive ability to manage a fast-paced environment while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and efficiency.

- Answers telephone calls or responds to phone inquiries in a timely manner to ensure efficient departmental operations

- Ensures that all surgeries and appointments are scheduled accurately and legibly while assuring timeliness of the appointment

- Gathers acceptable diagnosis for procedures and informs offices if a diagnosis is not acceptable

- Ensures appropriate equipment is attached to procedures and if scheduling conflicts occur will assist in solving the conflict

- Tracks equipment scheduling conflicts so decisions on type of equipment to purchase can be made

- Communicates effectively with the team leaders, team members, anesthesiologist, patients, physicians and physician staff to ensure efficient departmental operations

Job Requirements

Required

- Recent electronic hospital scheduling experience

Preferred

- Associates in a related field
