Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SWIFT Operations professional to support and oversee SWIFT-related operations within Wholesale Banking Operations. The role involves managing SWIFT message processing, driving automation and straight-through processing initiatives, supporting business continuity

arrangements, and ensuring operational excellence through strong stakeholder engagement and risk management.

Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee the timely and accurate routing of Incoming SWIFT messages, including sending messages and message screening support.
- Partner with offshore team and technology stakeholders to ensure smooth SWIFT operations and support system parameter maintenance.
- Act as backup support to offshore teams during business continuity events and contingency situations
- Drive Straight-Through Processing (STP) initiatives.
- Preparation of Business Internet Banking User ID letters and mailing to clients, and token imports
- Perform SWIFTNet Security Officer responsibilities, including PKI security administration, SWIFT billing, and support for SWIFT-related products and services.
- Support MEPS+MAS Liaison in industry testing, regulatory coordination, and operational activities relating to payment and messaging infrastructures.
- Supervise operational activities, provide guidance and training to team members, and ensure adherence to operational procedures and service standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues, customer concerns, and process exceptions.
- Support the other teams in CAS in day-to-day processing within established SLA in compliance with regulatory laws, internal policy and procedures.
- Partner with and communicate effectively with other functions (Middle Office, Relationship Managers, Branches) to deliver quality service that exceeds customers’ expectations.
- Strong commitment and drive to Eliminate, Simplify and Automate process.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree/ Diploma-holder
- At least 5 years relevant experience. Good knowledge of SWIFT messages.
- Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Sound judgement and initiative
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision and a team player.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills. Those with working experience with Excel VBA, Macros will have an added advantage.
