What this job involves:
Greasing the wheels of day-to-day operations
You will be involved in the overall upkeep of plant and facilities equipment to ensure smooth daily operations. To do this, you’ll need to regularly inspect all equipment rooms and other facilities, and take note of any problems using the predefined checklists. Also part of your responsibilities is to walk the duty technicians through weekend work plans, and give out technical recommendations, as needed.
Being the front liner for maintenance needs
Our clients will come to you with equipment issues, so you’ll be expected to be skilled at identifying problems and proposing effective solutions. At the same time, you should always be ready to get hold of vendors to do maintenance work at a moment’s notice. On top of this, you’ll also have to speed up any required equipment moves, adds and changes (MAC) implementation. In every decision or action you will make, you’ll need to keep in mind that you follow local governmental rules and regulations to avoid any legal troubles.

Certified or experienced
Are you able to identify effective solutions to electrical or mechanical problems, even if you don’t hold a formal repair certification? Have you worked in a facilities and maintenance role before? If yes, then you are who we’re looking for!

Can you clearly identify and report issues and problems, and provide clear instructions for resolving bugs and malfunctions? Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and daily checks of building equipment, FM assets, office environments, and systems to identify and report any issues or irregularities.
- Respond to and resolve facility-related issues, tickets, and service requests in a timely manner.
- Conduct repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for equipment or asset malfunctions and failures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with the installation, testing, commissioning, and decommissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service contracts.
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including but not limited to clients, BMO, and team members, to efficiently complete work orders.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to schedule and oversee maintenance and repair work.
- Use and maintain tools, equipment, and protective gear in a safe and proper manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment. Input data and assist analysis
- Manage asset records to ensure data accuracy and alignment with actual asset status.
- Investigate issues on-site and report findings to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit required documentation for contractors, building management, clients, and other related parties.
- Support the Lead Facilities Manager with budget monitoring and operational reporting.
- Provide facility and operational support for internal and client events, including room setup, equipment preparation, and on-site coordination.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Technical certification or equivalent knowledge in a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English would be preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- General knowledge of the built environment, including a solid understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general handyman tasks.
- Previous experience in a similar coordination role would be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively resolve complex issues in ambiguous situations.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations applicable to office environments.
- Understanding of health and safety standards specific to office environments.
- Technical proficiency in troubleshooting office building systems and equipment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.

Overtime pay: Available. A fixed overtime allowance is included in the basic annual salary (equivalent to 30 hours per month) *For non-managerial positions
