The role will lead and coordinate Data Governance practices across the organization to ensure data is managed as a trusted, secure and controlled enterprise asset. Establish and maintain governance frameworks covering data quality, ownership, access and lifecycle management. Drive compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, facilitate collaboration between business and technology teams and continuously improve controls to manage data risks and support effective decision making.

Job Responsibilities:

- Data Governance Framework & Policy Management - Define, maintain, and enhance data governance policies, standards, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks
- Data Governance Operations & Stewardship - Manage core governance processes, including metadata, data dictionary, data lineage, access controls, and lead Data Stewardship forums and working groups
- Data Quality, Risk & Communication Management - Monitor data quality, governance issues, audit findings, risk assessments, and implement improvements to strengthen governance controls
- Stakeholder Engagement, Communication & Awareness - Drive governance awareness, maintain documentation, and act as the liaison between business and technology teams to ensure governance alignment

Job Requirements:

- At least 10 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Risk or related disciplines, with proven success in implementing enterprise-wide governance frameworks and data control programs
- Hands-on experience in data quality management, data lineage, metadata management, data cataloguing, master data management (MDM), and the data lifecycle governance
- Strong understanding of data-related regulations, privacy requirements, and governance standards, with experience working in highly regulated industries such as insurance, banking or financial services
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders and drive a data-driven culture across business, technology, risk, compliance and audit functions
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, with certifications such as CDMP, DCAM, DAMA or equivalent
- Excellent command of English and Chinese (written and spoken)
