Job Description:

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Trade Compliance Specialist  to support Asia Trade Compliance activities, with a focus on Taiwan operations. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams including Logistics, Operations, Legal, Sales etc. to ensure export and import compliance, mitigate regulatory risk, and enable business continuity.

In this role you will:

- Execute day-to-day trade compliance activities for Taiwan operations in alignment with applicable export controls, customs requirements, sanctions regulations, and internal compliance standards.

- Support Taiwan export licensing activities, including regulatory review, BOFT/SHTC permit preparation, submission coordination, tracking, and renewal follow-up.

- Review transactions for compliance risks, including restricted-party screening, end-use and end-user validation, customer red flags, and diversion risk indicators.

- Work with Taiwan Logistics, Operations, Planning, Sales, and regional Trade Compliance teams to resolve shipment holds, GTS blocks, STO end-user issues, and related compliance matters.

- Maintain complete and audit-ready records for licensing, screening, shipment reviews, and regulatory documentation.

- Support audits, corrective actions, management reporting, SOP/MOP updates, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Contribute to Taiwan trade compliance projects and broader regional initiatives as assigned.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

- Bachelor’s degree in international trade, business, supply chain, law, or a related field; 5+ years of relevant experience in trade compliance is preferred.

- Working knowledge of Taiwan export control and licensing requirements, with familiarity in U.S. and regional export controls considered a plus.

- Experience with SAP and GTS, including transaction screening, shipment blocks, and compliance-related data review.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on open items, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Structured and analytical thinker with sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and a risk-based compliance mindset.

- Effective communicator in English and Chinese, with the ability to collaborate across functions, cultures, and regions.

- Timely and accurate execution of compliance processes with minimal rework

- Reduction of shipment delays attributable to compliance issues

- Quality and completeness of compliance documentation and audit readiness

- Effective resolution of compliance inquiries and cross-functional issues
