Who we're looking for:
As a senior member of the Service Monitoring Systems team, you will be responsible of the planning, design, deployment and operational support of advanced monitoring solutions across wireless and wireline technologies. You will serve as a technical expert in network visibility, device management and monitoring, helping ensure that our platforms provide reliable insights into network performance, service quality, configuration change and incidents.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external technology partners (e.g., OpenText, Netscout, Gigamon, Cisco, RCATSOne, Commscope, Witbe, etc.) to integrate and optimize scalable, high-performance monitoring systems that enhance network visibility, performance optimization, operational automation and incident resolution. Although this is not primarily a software development role, you will use scripting, automation, APIs, and targeted code modifications to improve integrations, streamline operations, and address technical requirements.
What you'll do:
- Define the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for network monitoring platforms.
- Plan, design, deploy, configure, and administer monitoring solutions in complex wireless and wireline environments.
- Lead advanced troubleshooting activities involving network traffic, monitoring infrastructure, tool integrations, data flows, and system performance.
- Develop scripts, adapt automation tools and modify existing code when required to support integrations, operational workflows, and platform improvements.
- Work with APIs, databases, operating systems, and network technologies to configure and support end-to-end monitoring solutions.
- Foster team knowledge and promote strong practices in networking, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation and AI-Assisted operations.
- Identify practical AI use cases for anomaly detection, event correlation, alert prioritization, and root-cause analysis.
- Gather and translate internal client requirements and align them with the company strategic goals.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve process efficiency and system performance.
- Produce and maintain technical architecture, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, that will improve network visibility, analytics, device management and incident resolution.
- Apply security best practices, including access controls, encryption, system hardening, patching, logging, and vulnerability management.
What you bring:
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- A degree in computer science, computer engineering, telecommunications, networking, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, architectures, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience planning, deploying, integrating, and supporting complex network monitoring solutions.
- Strong experience with network monitoring technologies and techniques, including SNMP, packet capture, traffic analysis, network probes, telemetry, and packet-broker solutions.
- Practical scripting and automation experience, preferably with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of APIs, SQL or NoSQL databases, and Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and coordinate work across internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A team-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a diverse, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containers, cloud platforms, or infrastructure automation is considered an asset.
- A passion for innovation, automation, and continuous learning in the fields of networking and software engineering.
