Senior Manager AI Platform

About the Team
The Platform Engineering and Infrastructure team builds and operates Dyson's core technology platforms across cloud, infrastructure, developer experience, data, AI, and automation services.
The team provides secure, scalable, and reliable platforms that enable engineering teams to innovate faster while adopting consistent engineering standards and best practices.
About the Role
You will:
• Define platform architecture, standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Design scalable, secure, and cloud-native platform solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical governance.
• Partner with engineering leaders and stakeholders to align technology strategy with business needs.
• Build prototypes, proof-of-concepts, automation, and reusable platform services.
• Remain hands-on with coding and technical problem solving.
• Drive adoption of platform engineering, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native practices.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders across the organization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive platform modernization.
About You
You will have:
• Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale platforms.
• Deep expertise in cloud and platform engineering across AWS, GCP, or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong software engineering skills with hands-on coding experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Experience with Kubernetes, APIs, containers, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, and platform operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable Experience
• Platform Engineering and Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).
• AI, data, or developer productivity platforms.
• Large-scale cloud transformation programmes.
• Cloud or architecture certifications.
