Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

- Lead and manage a dedicated team of over 8 officers and 100+ operational personnel to achieve high standards in Tractor Assembly and Testing.
- Develop, implement, and optimise manufacturing systems and cutting-edge technologies, positioning Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd ahead in the competitive agricultural machinery market.
- Drive continuous operational cost reduction projects through data-driven analysis and strategic resource management, ensuring sustainable profitability.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance plant productivity, focusing on quality, efficiency, and delivery schedules.
- Champion Lean Production System principles to streamline processes, minimise waste, and maximise efficiency throughout manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and statutory audits, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies.
- Manage and refine the Quality Assurance (QA) process to meet and exceed quality objectives, spearheading timely resolution of customer feedback and complaints through structured action plans.
- Implement industry best practices and continuous improvement methodologies such as Poka-Yoke (error-proofing), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Kaizen to drive operational excellence.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to nurture innovation, encourage accountability, and foster a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.
- Support strategic initiatives within the Farm Division, aligning assembly processes with broader organisational goals and business unit priorities.

## Education Qualification

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Technology specializing in Mechanical Engineering or hold a relevant Diploma qualification. Academic credentials should demonstrate strong foundational knowledge in mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and industrial engineering principles.

Additional certifications related to quality management systems (such as ISO 9001), Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma will be considered advantageous and supportive of the role's demands.

Continuous professional development and a commitment to keeping abreast of emerging trends and technologies in manufacturing, especially within the automotive and tractor sectors, are essential for sustained success.

General Experience

Candidates must bring a minimum of 12 years of professional experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within the agricultural machinery, automobile, or tractor industries.

Experience should include progressive leadership roles managing sizeable teams, with a demonstrated track record in optimising production workflows and achieving operational targets.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and quality assurance practices is critical, alongside experience handling internal and external audits.

Strong exposure to managing complex manufacturing projects, cost control strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives will be highly valued.

Experience working within large, matrixed organisations and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments is advantageous.
