We are looking for an intern to join us in our AI Governance team.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Governance and Risk Management

• Support the development, maintenance and implementation of AI governance policies, guidelines, processes and procedures.

• Assist in documenting AI use cases, AI-enabled solutions, systems, models, owners and implementation activities.

• Help maintain an organised inventory of AI initiatives and related governance documentation.

• Support AI risk assessment activities by gathering information and helping identify potential privacy, security, compliance, operational, reputational and business risks.

• Assist in tracking governance actions, recommendations, decisions and remediation activities.

• Research relevant AI developments, emerging practices and industry trends under the guidance of the Governance & Innovation Lead.

• Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, status updates and other governance materials for stakeholders.

Responsible AI and Compliance Support

• Support reviews aligned with Responsible AI principles, including fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy, reliability, safety and security.

• Assist project teams in gathering and organising information required for AI solution reviews and internal approvals.

• Help maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for AI initiatives.

• Assist in evaluating AI-enabled solutions against internal policies, business requirements and agreed review criteria.

• Support audit-readiness activities, document control, evidence collection and governance record keeping.

• Track follow-up actions arising from reviews and help coordinate completion with relevant stakeholders.

• Contribute to practical guidance, checklists, templates and awareness materials that make responsible AI practices easier to understand and apply.

Innovation and AI Enablement

• Research emerging AI technologies, capabilities, trends, tools and enterprise use cases.

• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, employee experiences or service delivery through AI and automation.

• Support the evaluation and prioritisation of potential AI use cases based on business value, feasibility, risk and user needs.

• Assist with proof-of-concept initiatives, pilots, experiments and other innovation projects.

• Help document objectives, assumptions, outcomes, lessons learned and recommendations from AI experiments.

• Support the responsible use of Generative AI and other AI-enabled tools across the organisation.

• Assist in organising AI demonstrations, workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions and awareness programmes.

• Contribute ideas that help the organisation adopt AI safely, responsibly and effectively.

Data, Reporting and Insights

• Collect and organise information from AI governance and innovation activities.

• Support the development and maintenance of trackers, dashboards and status reports.

• Analyse basic data to identify trends, outstanding actions, common risks and improvement opportunities.

• Help translate research and analysis into concise, practical and audience-appropriate insights.

• Perform quality checks to improve the accuracy, consistency and completeness of governance records and reports.

Stakeholder Engagement and Project Coordination

• Collaborate with technology, information security, legal, compliance, risk, data and business teams.

• Support meeting preparation, agenda development, note taking, action tracking and follow-up activities.

• Coordinate inputs from stakeholders for governance reviews, risk assessments, presentations and reports.

• Contribute to communication materials that promote awareness and responsible adoption of AI.

• Assist with the coordination of governance, innovation and change-management activities.

• Communicate progress, issues, dependencies and support needs clearly and professionally.

• Handle business and governance information with appropriate care and confidentiality.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Business, Engineering, Law, Public Policy or a related discipline.

• Strong interest in artificial intelligence, Responsible AI, innovation, governance, risk management, compliance or business transformation.

• Good analytical, research and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to organise information and present findings clearly.

• Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.

• Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, manage assigned tasks and meet agreed deadlines.

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

• Willingness to receive feedback and develop new technical, business and professional skills.

Preferred

• Familiarity with Generative AI tools, AI-enabled applications or automation technologies.

• General understanding of AI concepts, capabilities, limitations and business applications.

• Experience using AI tools for research, productivity, analysis or content development.

• Experience with data analysis, reporting, visualisation or dashboarding tools such as Power BI.

• Exposure to process mapping, business analysis, project coordination, risk assessment or documentation activities.

• Participation in academic, personal, internship or extracurricular projects involving AI, data, automation, cybersecurity, digital transformation or innovation.

• Experience preparing reports, presentations, research summaries or recommendations for different audiences.

• Interest in learning how organisations evaluate, implement, monitor and improve AI-enabled solutions.
