Food & Beverage Executive – Café Operations
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Food & Beverage Executive to oversee daily café operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This role combines operational management, team leadership, and quality assurance to maintain high standards across all café service touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management Oversee all aspects of café operations including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and quality control. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and operational protocols. Monitor daily sales performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets while controlling costs and minimizing waste.
Team Leadership Supervise and mentor café staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen personnel. Develop staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage during peak hours while managing labor costs. Conduct training sessions on customer service standards, product knowledge, and operational procedures. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Customer Experience Maintain exceptional service standards and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally. Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction. Ensure the café environment is welcoming, clean, and aligned with brand standards.
Product Quality & Menu Management Maintain consistent quality standards for all food and beverage offerings. Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fresh, high-quality ingredients. Collaborate with management on menu development, seasonal offerings, and promotional initiatives.
Financial Management Manage cash handling procedures and reconcile daily sales reports. Monitor inventory levels and place orders to optimize stock levels while minimizing spoilage. Track key performance metrics including sales, labor costs, and customer satisfaction scores.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of café operations, coffee preparation techniques, and food service standards
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing operational budgets
- Food safety certification and knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to motivate diverse teams
Essential Skills
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
