About this role

On behalf of Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHPRA), we are looking for an HR Administrator x 2 - (Inside IR35) for a 6-month contract working on a hybrid basis and with an expectation of 3 days attendance in the London office. Initially 5 days in office while completing training

The HR function has a key role in developing organisational capability and managing both current and predicted people risks effectively in order to enable organisational development and people resourcing needs; in pursuit of the Agency vision and priorities and in line with Agency values.

We work in partnership with directors, managers, staff, trade unions and all other relevant stakeholders focussing on tactical/strategic priorities, whilst also recognising the need for operational HR support.

Our functions include Recruitment Team, Talent & Learning, Pay & Reward, HR Systems & Information, Inclusion and Staff Engagement and Business Partnering.

Role Purpose

This is a key role within the Human Resources function in the Corporate group, leading on the full

employee life cycle transactional HR and payroll matters for designated client areas.

As a HR Administrator x 2 - (Inside IR35) your main responsibilities will be:

- Administer end to end employee lifecycle transactional processes, including, starters, Internal
- moves, leavers, any pay changes, leave arrangements and compensation and benefit
- administration and production of the associated documentation for all employees and
- managers.
- Act as the first point of contact for all Human Resources enquiries, provide consistent HR
- advice, support and resolution to Managers, employees and outside parties within agreed
- parameters in order to maximise efficiency, effectiveness and confidence .
- Be the Payroll lead within the team on a rota basis and be responsible and manage all payroll
- related activities.
- Advise customers on their terms and conditions and any payroll changes.
- Manage the Monthly Payroll Processes, carrying out suitable checks and controls to ensure
- accurate information is passed to the third-party payroll provider.
- Work with and maintain close contact with Payroll team regarding the input, maintenance, and
- reporting of employee records on the HR Database.
- Enhance processes using standard process documentation.
- Administer the HR database, ensuring the quality of the data is maintained and that payroll
- extract reports are accurate and delivered at agreed timescales

The postholder will have:

- Experience of managing a diverse workload from various sources
- Experience of delivering to tight or competing deadlines, ideally in a payroll setting.
- Experience of using technology to produce high-quality documents/charts, tables and slides
- CIPD qualification (Level 3 foundation)
- High level IT skills including a good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Essential

- Experience within an HR Admin role
- Experience of updating payroll systems
- IT literate

Desirable

- CIPD qualification (Level 3 foundation)
