What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for supporting the client from a data, analysis, and statistics perspective. Seeking to
understand client challenges and problems, you will support them to provide an effective solution.
You will deliver growth and KPI objectives set for Coles through:
• Providing valuable market insights and analysis that support business objectives;
• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Coles portfolio; and
• Partnering with other team members of the Circana leadership group and other departments to develop and
execute against the broader retail initiatives

Job Responsibilities
Client Engagement and Deliverables
• Maintain high levels of engagement with Coles, which includes being present onsite at Coles for circa
1-2 days per week
• Use Circana proprietary software to mine the required data, apply appropriate statistical principles to
interpreting the data, and provide analyses to identify patterns or trends in answer to the client’s
question or problem
• Support the team in the delivery of quality and timely data, reporting, analytics, consulting, and other
deliverables
• Check all databases used to identify any errors, miscalculations, or incorrect data. Liaise with Data
Release to determine the reasons for these errors, fix them where possible, or exclude incorrect data
from the database
• When utilising scan and panel data, prepare information about the reliability of the data sources and
explain to the client where these trends can or cannot be extrapolated to the wider population
• Analyse and interpret large complex data sets to produce insights and statistical reports to build
confidence in our product and platform
• Seek improved efficiencies and better client outcomes
Account Management
• Work closely with Coles to analyse their data, and create models and projections based around
quantitative numerical data, to solve commercial challenges across the business
• Deliver high quality analyses across multiple data sets to provide valuable market insights that will
further support the business objectives of Coles
Relationship Management
• Regular and appropriate engagement with key stakeholders
• Manage client expectations

Requirements
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Statistics, or related field preferred
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, within the FMCG industry
• Understanding of analytical concepts related to market, sales, and shopper data
• Ability to build quantitative models to solve complex commercial challenges
• Exceptional client service and relationship building skills
• Effective communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
• Excellent commercial acumen and business development skills
• Proven ability to influence and motivate others
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to plan effectively and then execute to the plan
• Good knowledge of data science and its application within a data agency
