About this role
Drive passive components development and
technology integration activities for SMT to ensure the package fulfill all
requirement in the aspect of manufacturing, product qualification and
reliability.
Your role Key responsibilities in your new role
1. Technical expert for passive components (eg inductors, capacitors, resistors) material and manufacturing processes in package development projects
2. Perform mechanical design, drawing and
specification for inductors based on design guideline, assembly rules and
ensure design for manufacturing, quality and cost
3. Understanding on electrical, magnetic design and applications related to inductor & passive component
4. Foster innovation in collaboration with
internal and component supplier on design, requirements, specifications and
selection; and ensure design for manufacturing, quality and cost
5. Establish design guideline / requirement for
passive components material specification
6. Technical leader for problem solving of
complex interaction assessments and mitigation for process and material-process
interactions, providing technical guidance and characterization
7. Proactively facilitates & encourages passive components development activities and ensure fulfilment of project milestone deliverables, cost and documentation release (spec, drawing, GIMM, etc)
8. Actively engages with suppliers to explore
new technology, best in cost design, etc to achieve competitive advantages.,,,,
9. Drive technical leadership & material technology roadmaps to enable advanced
module solution, manufacturing excellence & reliability towards positive
business impact
Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
(Electrical, Electronics, Physics, Material)
- At least 12 years of working experience in
passive component design, development or manufacturing
- Passive components development & qualification,
including material and design
- Advanced knowledge in material physics /
properties for passive components (capacitors, resistors, inductors)
- Advanced knowledge in SMT manufacturing process
- Analytical and problem solving skills including
knowledge in SPC, data analysis, statistical risk analysis
- Advanced knowledge in inductor magnetics
(permeability, core loss) and understanding of inductor core materials and
inductor manufacturing process
- Added advantage in 3D modelling, 2D drawings
and FEA simulations
- Able to communicate fluently in English and
Mandarin. Possess strong technical leadership & strategic thinking
