About this role

Main responsibilities and tasks:

The SAP MM Consultant / Solution Architect provides end-to-end functional and solution architecture leadership for SAP Materials Management and its integration with manufacturing, planning, quality, logistics, finance and external applications. The role combines deep SAP MM expertise, manufacturing-process knowledge, cloud and BTP architecture, migration and change leadership, and strong stakeholder engagement to deliver scalable, secure and business-aligned solutions.

- Own SAP MM solution design across source-to-pay and inventory-management processes, including requisitioning, purchasing, contracts, source determination, goods movements, inventory, valuation, invoice integration, subcontracting, consignment and stock transfers.

- Apply strong manufacturing business-process knowledge and translate business requirements into standard, sustainable SAP solutions.

- Provide strong SAP PP and QM process and integration knowledge, including material planning, production execution, inspection processing, quality notifications and inventory movements.

- Govern integration between SAP MM and Finance, Sales, Production Planning, Quality Management, Warehouse, Plant Maintenance and other relevant SAP processes.

- Design and govern integration with third-party applications using appropriate APIs, middleware, events, files and integration patterns.

- Own relevant SAP landscape architecture, including applications, environments, interfaces, data flows, security, availability, performance and lifecycle dependencies.

- Guide SAP Business Technology Platform adoption for integration, extension, workflow, data and analytics use cases aligned with enterprise standards and clean-core principles.

- Identify practical AI opportunities in procurement, inventory, planning and quality processes and ensure secure, responsible and value-driven adoption.

- Lead or support SAP implementations in Public Cloud and/or Private Cloud environments and contribute to fit-to-standard decisions.

- Plan and govern migration activities, including scope, data readiness, mapping, cleansing, testing, cutover, reconciliation, hypercare and operational handover.

- Provide strong MRP knowledge, including material-master parameters, demand and supply elements, planning runs, procurement proposals, exceptions and integration with purchasing and production.

- Apply structured change management covering stakeholder alignment, communication, training, adoption, business readiness and resistance management.

- Apply ITIL practices across incident, problem, change, release, service-level and continual-improvement processes.

- Understand hyperscaler concepts relevant to SAP, including connectivity, security, resilience, monitoring, scalability and cost awareness.

- Provide functional leadership and coaching to SAP team members and partners; coordinate priorities, quality, risks, knowledge transfer and delivery commitments.

- Build trusted relationships with business process owners, key users, Group IT, Enterprise Architecture, vendors and senior stakeholders.

- Prepare clear architecture documents, process flows, decision papers, roadmaps, business cases, status reports and executive-quality PowerPoint presentations.

- Apply strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills to identify root causes, evaluate options, assess risks and drive topics to closure.

Education, Experience and Languages:

- B.Tech. / B.E. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related discipline.

- 10-11 years of relevant SAP experience, with deep SAP MM expertise and substantial responsibility in solution design, implementation and functional leadership.

- Strong manufacturing business-process knowledge and SAP MM module-wise business-process expertise.

- Strong SAP PP and QM process and integration knowledge.

- Demonstrated experience with third-party integrations, SAP landscapes, BTP, migration, MRP, change management and AI-enabled opportunities.

- Experience working on at least two to three SAP implementations in ECC and Public Cloud and/or Private Cloud model.

- Practical understanding of at least one hyperscaler environment and its relevance to SAP workloads.

- ITIL certification and demonstrated application of service-management principles.

- Proven team-management and stakeholder-management experience.

- Excellent verbal and written English communication, analytical thinking and PowerPoint storytelling skills.

- PMP certification or equivalent formal project-management credential.

- SAP Activate Methodology certification.

- Relevant SAP MM, S/4HANA, BTP, cloud architecture or hyperscaler certification.

- Experience with S/4HANA transformation, RISE with SAP, clean-core principles and application rationalization.
