About this role

We're building a pod that manages Inc42's largest enterprise partnerships, spanning global tech companies, high-growth startups, investors. We're looking for an Associate who is part account manager, part operator and part automation builder. You'll work directly with the Lead who owns these relationships and will be in the room with founders, CXOs and marketing heads from day one. If your reflex on seeing a repetitive task is "I can build a workflow for that," this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with editorial, design, product and events teams for on-time delivery.

- Draft client emails, status updates, recaps and meeting notes that are ready to send.

Founder and Stakeholder Engagement

- Engage confidently and warmly with founders, CXOs and senior client stakeholders.
- Prepare briefs before every client conversation.
- Keep the Inc42 Founder and leadership updated on account status, risks and next steps.
- Host partners at summits and client events.

AI and Workflow Automation

- Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) daily for research, drafting, analysis and proposals.
- Build automated workflows for reporting, reminders, trackers and approvals.
- Replace manual, repetitive tasks with faster systems.
- Test new tools and bring the useful ones to the team.

Process Building

- Create SOPs, templates, checklists and playbooks for recurring work.
- Maintain a single source of truth for every account.
- Document what works so the pod can scale.

Analysis and Reporting

- Track and interpret campaign performance data.
- Build post-campaign reports and ROI summaries.
- Monitor account health and flag risks or upsell opportunities.
- Support proposals and RFPs with research, benchmarks and pricing inputs.

Staying Ahead

- Anticipate client needs before they are raised.
- Flag delays and risks early, with a suggested fix.
- Follow up and close loops without reminders.

Must-Have Skills

- 1–3 years in account management, client servicing, partnerships, consulting, agency or a founder's office role.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Outstanding people skills and composure with senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on, daily use of AI tools, with examples of how they've improved your work.
- Strong Google Sheets or Excel skills and comfort with project management tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to present data simply.
- High ownership and attention to detail.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Experience with automation tools (Primarily Asana).
- Exposure to B2B media, events, brand solutions or the startup ecosystem.
- Experience building decks, proposals and RFP responses.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing metrics.

Education and Background

- Graduate in any discipline. Preference for Business, Marketing, Mass Communication or Economics. MBA/PGDM is a plus but not mandatory.
- Preferred backgrounds: B2B media, advertising or marketing agencies, brand solutions, events, consulting, SaaS or startups.

You'll Fit Right In If You

- Like being both the most organised and the most personable person in the room.
- Would rather build a system once than do a task ten times.
- Are comfortable with speed, changing priorities and several accounts running at once.
- Take feedback well and improve quickly.

What You'll Get

- Early-career access to founders, CXOs and leading tech and startup brands.
- Close mentorship with real responsibility from the first month.
- Freedom to design the pod's tools, processes and workflows.
- A front-row seat at Inc42's flagship summits and programmes.

## Growth Path
Designations: Associate, Key Accounts → Key Account Manager → Senior Key Account Manager → Lead, Key Accounts Responsibilities: You start by supporting campaign delivery, client coordination, reporting and process building within the pod. You then grow into a Key Account Manager who independently owns client relationships, renewals and upsells for a set of accounts. From there you take on larger enterprise accounts with founder-level engagement, and eventually lead all major key accounts with full ownership of retention, revenue and team processes.

What Success Looks Like

- First 30 days: You know every account, stakeholder and live deliverable. Trackers are fully up to date.
- First 60 days: You handle daily client communication on at least two accounts and have automated one recurring workflow.
- First 90 days: Core processes are documented as SOPs, and clients see you as a reliable point of contact.
