EMC Design Engineer (G3)
Role Summary
Join NXP's ACC CTO EMC/ESD team and help shape the robustness of next-generation semiconductor products. As an EMC Design Engineer, you will contribute to the development of innovative EMC solutions that enable First-Pass-Right products, ensuring compliance, reliability, and system robustness while optimizing performance, silicon area, and cost.
Working alongside technology, design, validation, and system experts, you will gain hands-on experience in EMC modeling, simulation, characterization, and product development across a broad range of semiconductor applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the definition and implementation of EMC design concepts for integrated circuits.
- Perform EMC simulations, analysis, and validation to ensure compliance with product requirements.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of on-chip EMC solutions and interference mitigation techniques.
- Develop and apply EMC methodologies, design guidelines, and best practices.
- Collaborate with international, multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development cycle.
- Support EMC characterization, silicon debug, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Contribute to First Pass-Right product robustness while balancing performance, reliability, area, and cost.
- Participate in advanced EMC modeling, automation, and future technology innovation initiatives.
- Support technical investigations related to EMC performance and customer requirements.
- Share knowledge through documentation, training, and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
Education : Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of semiconductor devices and integrated circuit design.
- Initial experience or academic exposure to EMC/EMI modeling, simulation, or measurements.
- Familiarity with EMC standards, qualification methods, and laboratory testing.
- Knowledge of circuit simulation and EDA design tools.
- Interest in silicon characterization, debugging, and failure analysis.
