Job Description

If you are Assistant Design Engineer , looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Suzhou, You will be responsible for create and maintain good quality of ECN and drawings to support Global Europe team New Product Develop and Sustaining Programs.  In long term you can develop the skills of design engineers like force analysis and components design.

AS ASSISTANT DESIGN ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

- Review the RFES submitted by product teams
- Work with project engineers to clarify / correct engineering change requirements.
- Analyze BOM changes based on the requirement to identify impacted parts and assemblies, impacted models and impacted plants
- Work with product teams to make sure BOM changes meet the requirements
- Understand the released global design standards and apply them to the engineering changes.
- Complete ECN package according to frozen RFES with good quality and on time delivery.  Of course Copeland high quality drawing is part of the ECN package.
- ECN Package mainly includes Engineering change notice, Excel BOM, NX modeling / drawings, Mechanical specification as well as Teamcenter related settings
- Initiate right ECN process based on the RFES in Team center
- Track ECN workflow to ensure process runs smoothly.
- Take quick actions when workflow is stuck or is rejected by checkers/approvers.
- Work with BOM team to clarify/understand the BOM issues during the BOM set up.
- Analyze BOM issues and make quick response/provide solutions to make sure BOM set up successfully.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

- Associate Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering
- 0~3 year working experience.
- Proficient in NX and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong English reading and writing skills are required; effective verbal communication skills are a strong plus.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Understanding of BOM structures, engineering change notices (ECN), and drawing release processes is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation accurately。
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with global engineering teams.
