Key Responsibilities
Job Title: Delivery Partner ASIC Physical Design (Client-Onsite)

Role Summary

You will be the single point of ownership for our ASIC physical design engagement at the client site. You will lead a team of deployed engineers along with TPM's, own delivery from netlist handoff to GDS/tapeout, and build a strong, trust-based relationship with the client as the technical and managerial face of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end delivery of backend/PD milestones (floorplan, place & route, CTS, optimization, signoff, tapeout) against schedule, quality, and cost.

- Conduct regular team reviews (daily stand-ups, weekly technical/QoR reviews, milestone and post-mortem reviews) to track progress, catch issues early, and keep deliverables on course.

- Provide structured feedback, coaching, and performance reviews for deployed engineers; identify skill gaps and drive upskilling.

- Manage and mentor deployed engineers onsite: resource allocation, task planning, and escalation.

- Build and sustain a strong rapport with client stakeholders (engineering leads, architects, and management) through proactive communication, transparency, responsiveness, and consistent delivery.

- Act as the primary client contact: weekly/monthly reviews, status reports, risk and issue management, and expectation setting.

- Gather client feedback regularly, address concerns promptly, and ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term relationship growth.

- Drive technical reviews of PPA trade-offs, timing closure strategy, congestion, IR/EM, and ECO convergence.

- Oversee all signoff activities: STA, physical verification (DRC/LVS/antenna/ERC), power signoff (IR/EM), SI/crosstalk, formal equivalence, and DFM.

- Coordinate with front-end (RTL/synthesis), DFT, CAD/flow, package, and foundry teams for clean handoffs.

- Identify delivery risks early, own mitigation plans, and escalate with options, not just problems.

- Track and report KPIs: milestone adherence, QoR trends, utilization, defect leakage, team productivity, and customer satisfaction.

- Identify scope expansion and upsell opportunities, and support SOW, change request, and billing discussions.

- Build and maintain best practices, checklists, and reusable flows across engagements.

Required Qualifications

- B.E./ B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, VLSI, or related field.

- 15-20 years in ASIC physical design, with at least 4-7 years leading teams or programs.

- Hands-on depth in the full PD flow and signoff at advanced nodes (e.g., 7nm/5nm/3nm; FinFET experience preferred).

- Proficiency with industry tools: Cadence Innovus/Tempus/Voltus/Pegasus, Synopsys ICC2/Fusion Compiler/PrimeTime/StarRC/ICV, Siemens Calibre.

- Proven track record of delivering multiple tapeouts.

- Demonstrated ability to run effective team reviews and build lasting client relationships in onsite or customer-facing roles.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP, PgMP, or Agile/SAFe certification should be an added value( Not Mandatory).

- Experience with hierarchical design, multi-die/2.5D/3D, or low-power (UPF) methodologies.

- Experience with services-model engagements, SOW/contract management, and resource planning.

- Familiarity with Python/Tcl automation and flow development.

Key Competencies

- Ownership and accountability

- Technical credibility with both engineers and client architects

- Relationship building and customer empathy

- People leadership: review discipline, feedback, and talent development

- Conflict resolution and escalation handling

- Structured, data-driven decision making
