Position Title: Lead Solution Architect
Reports to: Head of Enterprise Architecture & Planning
Department: Information Technology Management

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Solution Architect plays a critical role in Wasl's digital transformation journey by designing, governing, and implementing enterprise solution architectures that connect diverse cloud and on-premises platforms. The role is responsible for defining architecture standards, integration patterns, cloud strategies, and API governance frameworks while ensuring secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions. The position leads architecture initiatives across platforms such as Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA, and other business applications to enable seamless business processes, unified customer experiences, and enterprise-wide data integration .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Key Accountabilities

- Enterprise Solution Architecture

Design and maintain enterprise solution architectures that enable integration between cloud and on-premises platforms.

- Develop architecture blueprints, reference architectures, and solution patterns aligned with business objectives.

- Cloud Architecture & Strategy

Develop and implement cloud architecture strategies supporting business and IT objectives.

- Lead adoption of cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions while ensuring governance, performance, and security compliance.

- API & Integration Governance

Establish API and integration architecture standards, policies, and governance frameworks.

- Ensure API lifecycle management, security, reliability, scalability, and reuse across the enterprise.

- Digital Platform Integration

Architect integrations across Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA, HR, Finance, Leasing, Sales, and other enterprise platforms.

- Enable process automation, workflow orchestration, and unified customer experiences through integrated solutions.

- Security, Compliance & Data Architecture

Ensure architecture compliance with security standards, data privacy regulations, and enterprise governance requirements.

- Lead data integration, synchronization, transformation, and data governance initiatives to support operational and analytical needs.

WORK SETTING & DECISION AUTHORITY

The role operates within a highly integrated enterprise technology environment supporting Wasl's digital transformation initiatives. The position is expected to make architecture decisions related to Solution Design, Integration platforms, cloud adoption, API governance, security controls, and enterprise solution standards. The role provides technical leadership and architecture direction across multiple business initiatives and transformation programs.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for providing architecture recommendations that optimize technology investments and reduce long-term technical debt.

- Supports technology evaluation, platform selection, and solution cost optimization initiatives.

- No direct budget authority specified.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

- 10+ years of experience in IT Architecture, Solution Architecture, Integration Architecture, or Cloud Architecture.

- Proven experience in enterprise solution architecture and architecture blueprinting.

- Strong expertise in Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA, and enterprise platform integration.

- Experience with MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, Azure Logic Apps, or similar integration technologies.

- Strong understanding of API management platforms such as Apigee, Kong, or AWS API Gateway.

- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

- Strong knowledge of security, compliance, data governance, and enterprise integration best practices.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.

Preferred

- Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

- TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, or equivalent architecture certification.
