Role Purpose:

The role is within the Group Technology Risk Management department, reporting to the Head of Risk Analytics & Intelligence.

As a Data Scientist at Prudential, you will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science techniques to transform data into actionable business insights. You will play a key role in developing analytical solutions that enhance risk management, drive operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Working closely with business stakeholders, risk teams, and technology partners, you will design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges. Your work will contribute to strengthening risk monitoring capabilities, improving governance and reporting processes, identifying emerging risks, and enabling data-informed decisions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to support risk management, intelligence, and business performance objectives.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to acquire, cleanse, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Build predictive, descriptive, and diagnostic models to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks, including GenAI and agentic AI solutions that enhance risk intelligence, decision-making, operational efficiency, and governance effectiveness.
- Develop automated reporting, dashboards, and data products that provide actionable insights to stakeholders and senior management.
- Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources to support assurance and risk review activities to proactively identify, monitor, and flag potential non-compliance or control weaknesses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
- Support the deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of analytical models and AI-driven capabilities.
- Promote data-driven decision making by communicating findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
