Job Summary
This position offers the opportunity to leverage the entire spectrum of analytics tools towards solving a wide variety of business problems. The focus is on applying a combination of industry standard practices and innovative ideas using structured data from multiple sources and applying AI, machine learning and statistical techniques to build, evaluate and implement models. Our team focus is on creating analytical solutions that solve real world business problems. Analytics empowered technology platforms are changing the way we operationalize models at Chubb. This role will work closely with engineering teams to deploy models into various cutting-edge platforms. This is a great opportunity to create analytics solutions for multiple lines of business, products, and geographies, deepening your insurance product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Owners, Data Scientists, Engineers, and Project Managers on modeling projects and the development of new use cases for various Global Analytics Technology Platforms.
- Execute all aspects of analytics initiatives including exploratory data analysis, machine learning model development, model evaluation and benefit estimation.
- Build frameworks that can be leveraged for multiple projects. High focus on code reproducibility and creating generalizable technology assets for analytics teams which can be further automated using AI agents and Claude Skills.
- Create excellent working relationships with business partners across the Chubb organization, IT and analytics peer groups.
- Effectively communicate results in written, oral and presentation formats.
- Monitor performance of models and report findings to business partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, Physics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an analytics driven role (i.e., Data Scientist, ML Engineer, Data Analyst, etc.)
- Business experience in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred but not a must.
- Programming experience in Python with an understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Experience using SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with development and implementation of machine learning and statistical models.
- Strong communication skills – Being able to translate advanced technical topics to non-technical stakeholders but also of sustaining highly technical conversations with other engineers and developers.
- Experience with tools from the following tech stack: GitHub, Python, Databricks, VSCode, MLFlow.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code as an enabler and productivity enhancer.
