About the Role
Sustainability Digital and Technology (D&T) support the Sustainability business team in delivering Haleon’s Health Inclusivity and Sustainability strategy, working to bring technology enabled workflows to Haleon’s reporting transparency for our shareholders, regulatory compliance, and assurance commitments.
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability Technology, the D&T Sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting sustainability reporting operations, delivering technology enhancements and ensuring the integrity, auditability and continuous improvement of sustainability data, processes and reporting solutions. Responsible for translating sustainability business requirements into technology solutions, the role will work across Sustainability, Product, AMS (application managed services), Data Foundation, MSM (Microsoft Sustainability Manager) Engineering and business stakeholders to deliver ongoing enhancements, resolve complex reporting issues, manage reporting operations and ensure accurate, timely and audit-ready sustainability reporting. The role will act as a critical bridge between business and technology teams, driving continuous improvement across sustainability data, reporting and regulatory compliance processes.
Role Responsibilities
Reporting Operations
- Coordinate and support quarterly, annual and regulatory sustainability reporting cycles, ensuring activities are delivered in line with reporting calendars and governance requirements.
- Support the collection, management, and validation of sustainability data across multiple source systems, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Run regular data quality checks, reconciliations, and QA validation activities to support audit‑ready and regulatory‑compliant sustainability reporting.
- Maintain and monitor data connectivity and data flows between sustainability systems, reporting tools, and upstream source platforms.
- Analyse sustainability performance data to support internal performance tracking and external disclosures, including shareholder and regulatory reporting.
- Drive the production of sustainability reports, metrics, and evidence packs in line with agreed reporting timelines and governance requirements.
- Document data processes, controls, and assumptions to support transparency, assurance, and repeatable reporting outcomes.
- Build strong relationships across business and technology teams to align priorities, manage dependencies and drive successful reporting and enhancement outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder communications, expectations and decision-making throughout reporting cycles and enhancement delivery activities.
- Support data driven internal and external audit activities by preparing audit walkthroughs, evidence packs and supporting documentation.
- Maintain reporting controls documentation and coordinate monthly control execution activities.
- Perform and document reporting controls, ensuring evidence is retained and maintained in accordance with governance and assurance requirements.
Business Analysis & Enhancement Delivery
- Coordinate delivery of enhancements through design, build, testing, deployment and business adoption activities.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical requirements for delivery teams, ensuring traceability from requirement through to implementation.
- Lead requirements workshops and impact assessments across sustainability processes, data models and reporting solutions.
- Support solution design activities in collaboration with Sustainability Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, Architects, MSM engineers and Data Foundation engineering teams.
- Support testing activities, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing and regression testing, ensuring solutions meet business requirements before deployment.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data owners, sustainability SMEs, AMS providers and engineering teams to drive issue resolution and delivery outcomes.
- Investigate and resolve complex sustainability reporting issues, coordinating activities across multiple teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Facilitate decision making where process, system or data issues span multiple stakeholder groups.
- Drive resolution of data quality, integration, transformation and reporting challenges across the Sustainability technology landscape.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiency through technology-enabled solutions.
Why You?
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience supporting reporting, audit or regulatory compliance processes within a complex business environment.
- Experience working with sustainability, or non‑financial performance data, including data extraction, validation, and reconciliation across multiple systems.
- Demonstrated capability running data quality checks, QA validation, and control processes to support accurate and assurance‑ready reporting.
- Hands‑on experience maintaining data flows, interfaces, or integrations between source systems and reporting or analytics tools.
- Experience supporting internal performance reporting or external disclosures through the preparation, review, and documentation of sustainability metrics and datasets.
- Proven experience gathering, documenting and managing business and functional requirements. Experience translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to investigate complex data, process and technology issues.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and coordinate resolution across multiple stakeholder groups.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of ESG, sustainability and climate reporting processes including data collection, calculation methodologies, controls and assurance requirements.
- Experience supporting metric ownership, methodology documentation and reporting governance processes.
- Experience working with sustainability or non‑financial data within Microsoft‑based technology environments, including data extraction and validation from source systems into platforms such as Microsoft Sustainability Manager, Azure data services, or Power Platform tools.
- Demonstrated capability using data quality controls, reconciliations, and QA processes within Microsoft technologies, such as Azure Data Factory, Dataverse, or Power BI datasets.
- Hands‑on experience supporting data integrations or interfaces using Microsoft technologies, including maintaining data pipelines and connections between upstream systems and reporting platforms.
- Experience operating within a Microsoft reporting and analytics environment, including managing structured datasets, metadata, and documentation to support audit‑ready sustainability reporting.
