Position Summary
eMed Population Health is seeking a Clinical Research Associate to support the Chief Medical Officer. The ideal candidate is a doctor, nurse, NP, PA, public health scientist, clinical researcher, or other healthcare professional with experience in obesity medicine, metabolic health, or GLP-1 therapies.
This position will focus on reviewing current medical literature, monitoring healthcare trends, interpreting clinical data, and preparing clear reports and presentations for clinical and executive audiences.
Responsibilities
- Review and summarize current medical literature related to obesity, GLP-1 therapies, cardiometabolic health, and population health.
- Monitor new clinical trials, treatment guidelines, FDA updates, and healthcare industry trends.
- Interpret clinical dashboards, outcome reports, tables, and basic statistical analyses.
- Prepare clinical summaries, presentations, reports, and briefing materials for the Chief Medical Officer.
- Assist with manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and scientific presentations.
- Verify that clinical statements and presentations are accurate, appropriately referenced, and supported by current evidence.
- Support the Chief Medical Officer with meetings, speaking engagements, publications, and special projects.
- Maintain organized research files, references, and project materials.
- Handle confidential clinical and business information appropriately.
Qualifications
- Degree or professional training in nursing, medicine, public health, epidemiology, clinical research, or a related healthcare field.
- Experience or specialized knowledge in obesity medicine, weight management, metabolic health, or GLP-1 therapies.
- Strong ability to read, evaluate, and summarize peer-reviewed medical literature.
- Ability to interpret clinical data, dashboards, charts, and statistics; dashboard development is not required.
- Experience contributing to clinical publications or presenting clinical research is strongly preferred.
- Excellent writing, research, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Workspace.
- Experience with Tableau or similar clinical dashboard platforms is preferred.
