We’re hiring a HRBP, Corporate at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO , and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.
The Human Resources Business Partner - Corporate role is an exempt position reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate HR at the Columbia/HQ location. The position focuses on managing employee relations, ensuring legal compliance, providing performance management guidance, supporting organizational restructures and workforce planning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the employee lifecycle. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree, have at least five years of HR experience, and demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and Google Workspace skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, address grievances, and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in order to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance; partners with the Legal Department when necessary.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Work with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, and monitors and reports on workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individuals, participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, and follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Conduct regular meetings with respective business units
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Partner with business Operations, Talent Acquisition, L&D to map cohesive processes and career journeys for all employees.
- Be a systems thinker and able to ‘connect the dots’ and identify key milestones and areas of improvement in the employee lifecycle

Skills & Qualifications
- A clear communicator who interacts with stakeholders across levels of the business
- A versatile team player comfortable handling tough situations with grace
- Ability to be flexible and adjust with business needs at any given time
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail
- Proficiency with or ability to learn Google Workspace (spreadsheets, documents, slides)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business/leadership experience in Business Administration, Program Management, Human Resource Management, or related field
- At least 5 years in a similar HR environment, ideally in a Human Resources
- Experience using HRIS, Workday, a plus
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
