About this role

What We Do:

Florence software advances cures by helping the world’s most important research sites do their best work. Our solutions are now used by over 65,000 research teams in 90 countries around the world—we’re the most widely deployed site workflow tool in the industry. By the end of the decade, we’ll double the pace at which new medicines get to market by doubling the output of trial site teams. To date, we were named a Deloitte Fast 50 business, G2 Category Leader, an Inc. & AJC best place to work, and an Inc. 5000 company five years in a row.

At Florence, we are committed to make the world a better place by accelerating research while providing an environment for our employees where they can be happy in their lives, enjoy their jobs, and grow.

What You’ll Bring to The Team:

At Florence, we’re passionate about making it easy for our customers to contribute to research and find cures.

We are seeking a business-savvy Platform Product Manager to drive the foundational infrastructure of our clinical trials platform. In this role, you won't just build APIs and data models; you will build the digital connective tissue that governs how Sponsors, CROs (Contract Research Organizations), and Research Sites interact, share data, and collaborate.

The ideal candidate possesses deep domain expertise in the clinical trial lifecycle - understanding the friction points of site burden, protocol complexity, document exchanges, and source data verification. You will treat the workflows, reference data, identity systems, and compliance barriers of these clinical entities as a unified product. You will work closely with Customers, Sales, Marketing, Product Design, Engineering and leaders from across teams to drive your product success in the market.

To be successful, you must be a creative problem solver with keen attention to details and a customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will approach product management through frequent, agile iterations that continuously deliver more value.

You Will:

- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and backlog for Florence's shared platform and integration capabilities.

- Define reusable platform services, APIs, integration frameworks, data exchange capabilities, and interoperability patterns that support Florence products and customer ecosystems.

- Translate platform strategy and customer/business needs into clear product requirements, epics, and measurable outcomes.

- Partner closely with Engineering and Enterprise Architecture on platform scalability, reliability, extensibility, security, and technical evolution.

- Establish an API and integration product strategy that enables Florence to integrate efficiently with customer, partner, and third-party clinical systems.

- Identify opportunities to convert recurring customer-specific integration needs into reusable platform capabilities.

- Define and improve the developer and integration experience, including API discoverability, documentation, authentication, observability, and integration lifecycle management.

- Partner with Integrations & Solutions Engineering to understand implementation patterns and customer needs while maintaining clear boundaries between reusable product capabilities and customer-specific delivery.

- Drive adoption, usage, reliability, and business outcomes for platform capabilities through measurable product metrics.

- Balance customer-facing requirements, product needs, technical investments, platform modernization, and technical debt.

- Partner with Quality, Security, Privacy, and Compliance to ensure platform capabilities provide appropriate controls for regulated clinical-trial workflows.

- Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Customer Experience, Sales, and Marketing.

- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI agents and MCP-based integration patterns, where they can improve interoperability and platform extensibility.

- Drive adoption, retention, and usage outcomes through continuous iteration

- Internal coordination and alignment between tech initiatives and customer facing requirements

- Measure and report on product success metrics

- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across departments

- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Compliance to ensure that foundational data pipelines natively enforce GxP, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, and GDPR compliance, insulating downstream feature teams from regulatory friction.

- Begin mentoring PM Is and support their onboarding and development

- Operate independently while contributing to Florence's broader platform evolution

An Ideal Candidate Has:

- Bachelor or Arts or Science degree (Business, Computer Science, or related technical field) or equivalent professional experience

- 5+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS product management or comparable role in eClinical, Digital Health or other Decentralized Trial (DCT) (eConsent, RBM, eTMF, EDC, etc.) enabling technologies

- Strong understanding of healthcare processes, terminology, and compliance considerations, gained directly or via the productisation of expert input.

- Prior experience in managing platform requirements and integrations (APIs, MCP), knowledge of distributed systems, message bus architecture, data management etc.

- Capable of shifting away from finite, project-based delivery ("build and done") toward continuous, business and metric-driven platform evolution.

- Proven experience planning and managing multiple projects with competing priorities

- Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management - balancing technical, business, and domain expert priorities

- Skilled in using Agile/Scrum or similar methodologies

- Experience utilizing emerging AI tools to accelerate product discovery, prototyping, and PRD (Product Requirements Document) creation.

- Ability to deal with ambiguity and to identify, assess, and solve problems quickly

- Proven experience interacting with customers, Engineering, Product Owners, and Customer Experience teams

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable presenting to key stakeholders and customers

- Good time-management skills to work in a fast-paced / high-growth start-up environment

What’s in it for you?

- Do well. We offer exceptional salary + fun remote activities, the PC setup of your choice as well as medical insurance.

- Do good. We insist that health technology is the highest calling for software development. We pride ourselves on working on something bigger than ourselves; helping advance cures and therapies

- Enjoy. Our office is in Belgrade and we offer a hybrid work environment
