About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of planned works projects from inception through to completion. Working across a range of internal and external refurbishment programmes, you will lead site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proactive approach to health and safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, while maintaining a positive experience for clients and residents throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties:
- Manage site teams, operatives, and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and on programme.
- Carry out regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance.
- Oversee internal and external planned works, including roofing, windows, doors, insulation, heating, and refurbishment projects.
- Ensure all works comply with building regulations, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Manage health and safety on site, including risk assessments, method statements, scaffolding, and working-at-height activities.
- Monitor project performance against budgets, timescales, and KPI targets.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, compliance documentation, and change controls.
- Liaise with clients, residents, consultants, and internal stakeholders to provide updates and minimise disruption.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with CDM regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Lead, support, and develop site-based teams while promoting continuous improvement and best practice.
- Attend client meetings, progress reviews, and operational planning meetings as required
Role Criteria:
- SMSTS qualification.
- Asbestos Awareness certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven experience managing planned maintenance, refurbishment, or investment works programmes.
- Experience managing subcontractors, direct labour, and site-based teams.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and site compliance requirements.
- Experience carrying out site inspections, quality checks, and progress monitoring.
- Good understanding of refurbishment works including roofing, windows, doors, insulation, heating, and external works.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines, budgets, and KPI targets.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience liaising with residents and clients.
- Competent IT skills with experience maintaining site records, reports, and project documentation.
