Are you someone who enjoys solving technical problems, improving equipment performance, and making a direct impact on pharmacy operations? As a Counting Cell Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our Automated Drug Dispensing System (ADDS). Your expertise will help ensure reliable medication dispensing, support operational efficiency, and contribute to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

This is a 2nd-shift position - Monday through Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm,.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

- Maintain the performance and reliability of automated drug dispensing equipment through preventive maintenance activities.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, operational, and system-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Perform counting cell testing and validation to ensure equipment accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Execute drug quarantine procedures in accordance with established quality and compliance requirements.
- Create, update, and complete maintenance work orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma and process enhancement projects.
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams to improve system performance, safety, and efficiency.
- Support additional operational and technical needs as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or automated environment.
- Pharmacy Technician Trainee License or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems using analytical thinking and sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate degree in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
- Experience working with automated dispensing systems, packaging equipment, or high-volume filling equipment.
- Electrical, electronic, mechanical, or maintenance troubleshooting experience.
- Experience participating in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated production environments.
