# The Impact You'll Have

The Vice President, Advanced Analytics and AI will shape how Blue Cross uses data, analytics, and AI to make better business decisions and create meaningful impact for our members. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this leader will guide the enterprise analytics function across business intelligence, advanced analytics, population health, and AI execution and governance.

This role is about more than producing insights. We’re looking for a leader who can dig into the business, understand the questions behind the data, and turn complex information into a clear story leaders can act on. You’ll partner across the organization to help teams understand what the data is telling us, where opportunities exist, and how analytics can improve affordability, quality of care, business performance, and our position in the marketplace.

- Work with product management, engineering, finance, legal, and customer success teams to integrate AI and analytics into products and operations.
- Builds a best-in-class, customer-centric analytics organization that differentiates the company in the marketplace and is recognized as a trusted partner by business stakeholders.

- Collaborates with data governance, technology, actuarial, clinical, network, and finance leaders to ensure analytics has the data, tools, and infrastructure needed to deliver - without owning those functions directly.

- Collaborate with key functions across the organization to establish and evolve a strategy for analytics and business intelligence that drives business strategy and performance.

- Build out analytic functions to support current and future enterprise strategic priorities, including a comprehensive review of current capabilities, an assessment of gaps relative to future-state business needs, and development of a plan to close those gaps.

- Develops and executes rigorous, industry-informed analytic methods and identifies relevant benchmarks for evaluating analytic results and outcomes.

- Recruits, develops, and retains a high-performing team of analytics leaders, data scientists, and analysts; builds a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

- Communicates analytic findings and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board in a clear, compelling, and decision-oriented manner.

- Manages the annual operating budget for the analytics organization and assures the quality, comprehensiveness, and timeliness of all analytic deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.

- Demonstrated experience leading Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Advanced Analytics functions at scale.

- Experience applying emerging technology and analytic techniques to structured and unstructured data (e.g., predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, machine learning), including establishing AI governance practices.
