ABOUT MULTI-ASSET SOLUTIONS (MAS)

MAS is a multi-asset class investing group within the Asset Management Division at Goldman Sachs. It designs and develops comprehensive investment solutions customized to meet the investment objectives and relevant constraints of clients. These solutions bring together state-of-the-art techniques for multi-asset portfolio design and implementation and reflect proprietary research and analytics conducted by the MAS team. With investment professionals across the globe, MAS invests or advises on assets for some of the world’s leading corporations, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, and foundations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- MAS is looking for a quantitative investment research associate for the fixed income asset class. This role bridges rigorous quantitative modeling with fundamental macroeconomic analysis to formulate relative value, curve, and directional investment strategies across sovereign bonds, inflation-linked debt, and interest rate derivatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with equity, credit, foreign exchange (FX), and commodities research teams to identify cross-market dislocations, macro spillovers, and multi-asset alpha opportunities
- Present investment strategies to the research group and the Investment Committee, and conduct required follow-ups.
- This role entails extensive interaction with the portfolio managers, risk takers, and senior management to help manage the asset allocation for client portfolios.
- You will work on alpha generating strategies; portfolio allocation problems; and build and maintain models for prediction, pricing, data analysis and more.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or economics.
- 5 years of relevant work experience in financial markets – experience in fixed income (bonds) strongly preferred, quantitative and programming skills required.
