Ro le description:

The Sr. Corporate Accountant & Treasury Analyst contributes to the accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial reporting by recording, reviewing, tracking, and reconciling a diverse range of accounts and financial processes for Ardagh Glass Packaging – North America. This role also supports the company's treasury function through daily banking activities, cash management, and the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual cash flow forecasts to assist in liquidity planning and working capital management.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare general ledger entries and maintain supporting records

- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare sub-ledger tie-outs

- Perform internal control procedures in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

- Provide testing support and communicate with external review teams as an internal control owner

- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current processes and suggesting improvements

- Facilitate communication from corporate finance to the manufacturing controllership team and other members of the corporate office

- Manage a variety of tracking and reporting initiatives

- Perform daily treasury activities, including monitoring bank account activity, analyzing cash positions, initiating or supporting fund transfers, and ensuring adequate liquidity across company accounts

- Maintain banking records, user access administration, and treasury-related documentation in accordance with company policies and internal controls

- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly cash position reports for management review.

- Develop, maintain, and enhance weekly, monthly, and annual cash flow forecasts by partnering with accounting, operations, procurement, tax, and other business functions

- Monitor forecast accuracy, investigate variances, and provide insights and recommendations to improve cash forecasting processes

- Support working capital management initiatives through the analysis of accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and other cash flow drivers

- Assist with banking relationships, treasury projects, debt-related reporting requirements, and other corporate finance initiatives as needed

Minimum skills / qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance

- Three (3) years of experience in accounting, finance, treasury, or a related field

- Proficient analytical skills with the ability to provide precise and effective communication

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, including financial modeling and forecasting

- Familiarity with SAP accounting systems or similar ERP systems

- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

- Understanding of cash flow concepts, treasury operations, and financial analysis

- Ability to travel up to 5%

Preferred skills / qualifications:

- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

- Experience in corporate treasury, cash management, liquidity planning, and cash forecasting

- Familiarity with sophisticated ERP systems such as SAP, as well as financial reporting tools like HFM

- Experience managing and building data models and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), or progress toward professional certification

- Experience in a manufacturing environment
