Job Description Summary:

The Transportation Specialist for the Atlanta Beverage Base Plant is responsible for coordinating and executing domestic and international transportation activities to ensure the efficient movement of ingredients, raw materials, and concentrates across concentrate plants and customer bottler locations.  This role manages critical transportation execution activities supporting approximately $18M in annual inbound and outbound freight spend, including approximately 8,000 annual outbound shipments across 150+ bottler delivery locations. The position works closely with carrier partners and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable transportation service, supply continuity, and cost-effective logistics operations.

The position also supports transportation projects, process improvements, carrier performance management, and import operations while ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and company standards.

What You'll Do for Us

- Plan and execute daily domestic and international freight activities to support on-time delivery performance.
- Communicate transportation load scheduling, tracking, and status updates to cross-functional teams to support effective operational execution and service continuity.
- Manage transportation activities within TMS/OTM and SAP systems, including routing, transit times, master data maintenance.

- Plan and manage daily inbound transportation activities within the Transportation Management System (TMS) to ensure shipments are accurately planned in the system and ready to support timely warehouse receiving operations.

- Support international importation processes to ensure timely customs clearance and delivery of materials into U.S. operations.
- Monitor transportation service performance and analyze carrier trends, defects, claims, and corrective actions; lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with carriers to drive accountability, performance improvement, and service excellence.
- Prepare transportation scorecards, KPI reports, and carrier performance summaries for leadership review.
- Support routing guide development and transportation optimization initiatives to improve service levels and reduce costs.
- Lead transportation-related continuous improvement initiatives and operational problem-solving efforts.
- Investigate transportation non-conformances, customer complaints, and carrier-related quality issues; support corrective and preventive action plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Franchise Managers, Material Management, Customer Service, Quality, Warehouse and Operations teams to support business objectives.
- Participate in transportation compliance activities, audits, and regulatory training related to DOT, Hazmat, import/export, and other applicable transportation requirements.
- Maintain continuity of supply through proactive transportation planning and issue resolution.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
- 3–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related operations.
- Experience with TMS, SAP TM, or Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) preferred.
- Knowledge of domestic and international transportation operations, carrier management, and import processes.
- Familiarity with transportation regulatory compliance including DOT and Hazmat requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- English proficiency required.
- Travel requirement: Less than 10%.
