Job Summary
The Social Media Assistant supports Coca-Cola Music Hall’s digital presence by creating, publishing, and monitoring timely and engaging social media content that strengthens the venue’s brand, promotes events, and supports ticket sales and other business priorities.
Working closely with the Marketing Department, this position captures and curates’ content, engages with digital audiences, monitors performance, and helps ensure that Coca-Cola Music Hall’s social media channels remain active, up to date, and consistent with brand standards.
The position also supports marketing and communications initiatives, as needed or requested.
Essential Functions
Social Media Content & Execution
- Create, schedule, and publish platform-appropriate content across Coca-Cola Music Hall’s social media channels, including, but not limited to, Meta (Facebook), Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn, in alignment with approved content plans and business priorities.
- Develop social media copy and curate or create photos, short-form videos, graphics, stories, reels, and other digital assets to promote concerts, sporting events, family shows, venue initiatives, Premium experiences, partnerships, and private events.
- Provide live and event-day social media coverage, including capturing content before, during, and after events and identifying timely opportunities to increase audience engagement.
- Maintain an organized content calendar and assist with coordinating posts, materials, approvals, and deadlines with members of the Marketing team and other relevant internal groups.
Community & Brand Management
- Monitor and support the Marketing Department in all the social media channels and maintain timely, professional, two-way engagement with followers, escalating customer concerns, sensitive matters, or responses requiring management review.
- Monitor relevant trends, conversations, and new platform features, and recommend appropriate opportunities for Coca-Cola Music Hall while exercising sound judgment on matters related to brand reputation.
- Ensure that published social media content reflects the standards, voice, values, and messaging of the Coca-Cola Music Hall and Legends Global brands and verify content accuracy prior to publication.
Social Media Analytics
- Monitor key social media performance metrics, including reach, engagement, audience growth, video performance, and campaign results; prepare concise summaries and reports for Marketing leadership and other stakeholders.
- Use performance results and audience insights to recommend adjustments to posting schedules, formats, and content strategies.
Marketing & Communications Support
- Assist with coordination across internal departments, promoters, business partners, vendors, and other stakeholders, as assigned, to obtain content, information, or materials needed for approved marketing initiatives.
- Support selected marketing and communications initiatives, including event promotions, grassroots marketing efforts, content coordination for websites or email communications, photo galleries, promotional partnerships, and campaign execution.
- Write and edit social media captions, promotional copy, and other audience-facing messages as needed.
- Perform other related duties consistent with the purpose and level of responsibility of the position.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred.
- Two (2) years of prior experience creating content or managing social media for a business, organization, brand, educational institution, team, or comparable environment. Relevant internship or portfolio experience may satisfy this requirement.
- Working knowledge of major social media platforms, including Meta Business Suite, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as an understanding of platform-specific content practices.
- Demonstrated ability to create clear and engaging written and visual content, with excellent grammar, proofreading, and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut , or similar applications; basic photo and short-form video editing skills.
- Ability to interpret basic social media metrics and use performance results to help inform content decisions.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment within established policies and guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with internal departments, promoters, business partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn social media management systems, ticketing platforms, CRM systems, venue systems, and other business platforms, as needed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion when handling non-public information.
Work Schedule & Position Requirements
- This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position . Work hours will vary based on the event schedule and business needs and are not guaranteed .
- Must be available to work on a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays , particularly to provide event coverage.
- Work is performed primarily on-site at Coca-Cola Music Hall . Certain responsibilities require moving throughout different areas of the venue and even spaces to capture content.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or move throughout the venue for extended periods; operate a computer and mobile device; and occasionally lift or carry equipment or materials weighing up to approximately 20 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- All hours worked must be accurately recorded. Overtime may not be worked without prior authorization; however, all time actually worked will be compensated in accordance with applicable law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting social media within the live entertainment, sports, hospitality, or events industries, or for a consumer-facing brand.
- Portfolio or work samples demonstrate experience in social media copywriting, photography, short-form video, graphic content, or social media campaign execution.
- Familiarity with content scheduling, social listening, reporting, and digital advertising tools.
