About this role
## 🚀 Bring Calm, Structure and Focus to the Heart of Sensat
📍 London, Shoreditch | Part-Time, 24 hours per week | Office-Based Tuesday–Thursday
👤 Reporting to Harry Atkinson, Founder
We're looking for an organised, proactive and highly capable Executive Assistant & Office Manager to work closely with our Founder, Harry, and help bring calm and structure to a busy, fast-moving environment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who naturally stays one step ahead. You'll work side-by-side with Harry, helping him manage his time, priorities, communications and commitments, while making sure the practical details around him are taken care of.
You'll also help keep our London office running smoothly. Harry will be your priority, but where capacity allows, you'll provide practical and administrative support across the wider Sensat team.
This isn't a role where everything will always be mapped out for you. Priorities will change, diaries will move and things will occasionally appear from nowhere. You'll be someone who can calmly work out what matters, create order and keep things moving.
You'll also be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy. The goal isn't simply to organise Harry's workload, but to understand what genuinely needs his attention, what can be handled by you and where you can remove unnecessary noise altogether.
🛠️ What you'll be doing
Supporting our Founder
- Managing Harry's diary and helping him prioritise his time effectively.
- Managing and organising meetings, including scheduling, preparation and follow-ups where needed.
- Supporting with email and inbox management, helping identify what needs Harry's attention and what can be handled elsewhere.
- Handling straightforward communications, scheduling and follow-ups on Harry's behalf, without needing to bring everything back to him.
- Coordinating UK and international travel, including flights, accommodation, itineraries and logistics.
- Helping coordinate external meetings, events, conferences and customer or stakeholder engagements.
- Supporting communications and follow-ups with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Keeping track of actions, commitments and deadlines so nothing important gets lost.
- Joining key meetings, including Leadership Team meetings, to capture actions, follow-ups and make sure commitments are carried through.
- Coordinating regular 1:1s between Harry, the Leadership Team and wider Sensat team, making sure the right conversations actually happen.
- Anticipating what Harry needs and solving practical problems before they become problems.
Keeping Sensat running smoothly
- Helping make sure our London office is organised, welcoming and running smoothly.
- Coordinating office requirements, suppliers and day-to-day logistics, including liaising with our building and resolving issues as they arise.
- Supporting our monthly All Hands and other company meetings, including coordinating logistics, gathering inputs and helping prepare materials.
- Helping organise visitors, customer meetings and important company days in the office.
- Taking ownership of the practical jobs that keep the business moving, whether that's sorting an office issue, coordinating an order, organising an event or following something through when it hasn't gone to plan.
- Providing wider administrative support to the team when capacity allows.
💭 You might be the kind of person we’re looking for if...
You're exceptionally organised and enjoy creating order in a fast-moving environment. You're proactive, naturally think a few steps ahead and don't need to wait to be told what to do next.
You're confident managing upwards, protecting someone's time and challenging priorities when needed. You're comfortable holding your ground, asking the right questions and constructively pushing back, while still being personable, warm and able to build strong relationships.
You're calm under pressure and don't get flustered when plans change. You have strong judgement and can quickly work out what needs attention now, what can wait and what doesn't need Harry at all.
You take ownership, solve problems and enjoy being part of a small, ambitious team where everyone gets stuck in.
🎯 Your experience might look something like this…
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or similar role supporting a Founder, CEO or senior executive.
- Experience managing complex diaries, competing priorities, meetings, inboxes and travel.
- Experience communicating confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Confident and capable with technology, comfortable picking up modern workplace tools quickly and finding smarter ways to organise, automate and simplify how you work.
- Comfortable using AI and technology as part of how you work, while understanding where judgement, discretion and the human touch matter more.
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience working within a fast-paced or scaling business would be particularly valuable.
🌱 You’ll thrive here if...
You enjoy working with autonomy and don't need everything mapped out for you. Priorities will move, plans will change and sometimes you'll need to make a judgement call and keep things moving.
You'll be working closely alongside Harry, so you'll need to be comfortable building a strong working relationship with a busy Founder while having the confidence to manage upwards, challenge when needed and protect his time.
This is a part-time role working 24 hours per week, with Tuesday–Thursday as our core office days.
There is flexibility around how your 24 hours are structured. You might prefer shorter days across the week or a different working pattern around the core office days, and we're open to discussing what works. What matters is having consistent in-person presence Tuesday–Thursday and being able to work effectively alongside Harry and the wider team.
From time to time, there may be something that needs dealing with outside your usual working hours. We're looking for someone who can bring some flexibility when genuinely needed, balanced with the flexibility we'll offer around how your working week is structured.
🤝 Why Sensat?
We’re building technology that helps infrastructure organisations make smarter decisions across some of the world’s most important projects.

This role sits right at the heart of how Sensat operates. You'll work directly alongside our Founder while building relationships across the wider business and with the customers, partners and stakeholders we work with.
You'll have the autonomy to make a real difference to how Harry and the wider team operate day-to-day, creating more structure, removing unnecessary noise and making sure the things that matter keep moving.
If that sounds like the kind of challenge you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
