Salary: $18.75-$20.54 per hour
Closing Date: Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 4:30 PM PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator, Lifeguards are responsible for lifeguarding and maintaining patron safety at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain vigilance and safety supervision of all participants.
- Work in a team to ensure safety and quality of programs prevail.
- Attend scheduled training and development sessions.
- Provide a positive customer service experience and ability to address customer concerns.
- Report concerns, accidents, and incidents to immediate supervisor, or on-call supervisor, as needed.
- Provide appropriate first aid treatment and documentation, as needed.
- Complete administrative tasks appropriately, and in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Perform additional duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (“CRC”) with Vulnerable Sector Check (“VSC”) prior to commencing work in this role.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of age prior to employment.
- Hold the following minimum valid qualifications: Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certification
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C or Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C and AED
- Availability for weekday, weeknight, or weekend aquatic programs.
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification is considered an asset.
- Previous Lifeguard experience is considered an asset.
