Design at Compass:
Product Designers lead the full lifecycle of their designs across all platforms, collaborate with product managers on strategy, participate in research to test and validate designs, and consult with engineering to bring everything to life.
What We Look For:
We’re looking for an experienced product designer to work on complex real estate transaction related workflows and to deliver experiences that are simple and intuitive. You bring a solid knowledge of best practices and a keen ability to leverage data insights to substantially improve the value and performance of the products you work on. You value feedback, care deeply about quality, and are outcomes-focused. You are great at collaborating with cross-functional peers and leading design thinking methodology. You communicate clearly and concisely and are comfortable interacting with executives and stakeholders to define an approach, present cohesive experiences, articulate decisions, and build alignment.
In addition to being a collaborative partner, you love to execute the creation of great user experiences: mapping seamless flows, contributing components to our design system, and prototyping. You’re hands-on and excited to roll up your sleeves and get things done as part of a dynamic team. You have extensive knowledge of best-in-class UX patterns across web and native mobile platforms and an understanding of how to best integrate these patterns into our system. You also have a strong knowledge of platform affordances and how to use their constraints to enhance design features.
You have pixel-perfect standards with exceptional interaction design skills and an eye for accessibility and usability. You collaborate seamlessly with engineers to ensure well-executed, high-quality experiences on Web, iOS, and Android.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will work closely with a cross-functional team of product designers, product managers,transaction ops stakeholders and engineers to own the iterative design process of major feature initiatives from concept to shipping. You will ideate, prototype, and get user feedback on end-to-end platform design solutions that empower residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to their seller and buyer clients. This is a contract position reporting to the Design Director, Product Design.
Responsibility
- Contribute to and develop a wide variety of high-impact enterprise workflow experiences for commissions, contracts and financial reporting.
- Wireframe and prototype to turn concepts into high-fidelity designs and design systems
- Produce visually compelling, intuitive end-to-end workflows that fit seamlessly within the platform and broader brand context
- Drive design research to better understand user behavior, identify key pain points and test the direction of your design solutions.
- Leverage analytics, data, and competitive analysis to constantly validate, improve, advocate for, and measure the success of your designs
- Work in close partnership with product managers to help define the strategy, plan the roadmap, and execute product requirements that meet business objectives
- Work closely with our engineering teams to understand technical feasibility, provide guidance, and ensure quality implementation across platforms (web and native)
What you bring
- Ability to fluently communicate design ideas persuasively and concisely in English
- 4+ years of user experience (UX) design work
- Proven success in simplifying complex workstreams into simple, intuitive experiences
- Expert user research, storytelling, and prototyping skills
- Knowledge of modern, emerging web and mobile UI patterns and design tools
- Production quality, specialist knowledge of Figma tools, Claude Design, Google Suite
- Strong UX writing skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Ability to work with autonomy and flexibility
- Customer orientation
- Experience in designing enterprise level financial tools is a plus
Compensation: The base pay range for this position is $122,000-$136,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
