Job Summary :

The Advancement Coordinator will report to the Vice President of Strategic Advancement/Executive Director of the CenterState CEO Foundation and Invest CNY, performing activities related to revenue development including grant applications and reporting, individual giving, fiscally sponsored projects, and Board of Directors support.

Hourly Rate: $26-$30 per hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

- Support grant and contract opportunity research, vetting, and decision-making processes.
- Develop application templates and support the drafting and editing of applications.
- Coordinate the collection of information from staff members and external partners adhering to internal and external deadlines.
- Collate application materials, upload to funder portals, and track status.
- Develop grant reporting templates and coordinate their completion, track reporting deadlines, and support other grants management activities in coordination with colleagues across the organization and outside partners.
- Record and track non-grant donations received through CenterState CEO Foundation and Invest CNY.
- Create, disburse, and file donor acknowledgements and receipts for CenterState CEO Foundation and Invest CNY.
- Maintain up to date and accurate donor records for CenterState CEO Foundation and Invest CNY.
- Serve as point of contact for, and help support, Invest CNY’s fiscally sponsored projects.
- Support the development of materials for, and coordination of, joint CenterState CEO Foundation and Invest CNY Board meetings.
- Coordinate and support the preparation of materials for funder/donor communications.
- Support other coordination needs of the Strategy, Policy & Planning team.

There is no supervisor responsibility for this role.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hybrid position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9a.m. to 5 p.m. but can be flexible as needed. There may be evening and weekend work required on a very limited basis.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

2+ years of experience in coordination and/or administrative, grant writing, fundraising, marketing/communications, or other similar roles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Candidates must demonstrate:

Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to prioritize, communicate effectively with colleagues and partners, and track multiple projects to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Ability to write clearly and summarize complex materials with good grammar and copyediting skills.
- Willingness to ask questions, self-direct, problem solve, make recommendations, and seek support.
- Eagerness to take on new tasks, experiment, suggest process improvements, and learn new skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs including Sharepoint and Planner.
- Willingness and capacity to learn new software and/or technology.

Candidates ideally demonstrate:

- Familiarity or experience with grant/proposal and/or fundraising focused writing.
- Experience using funder portals such as Cybergrants, NYS SFS, and grants.gov.
- Experience with the Givebutter fundraising platform.
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment with regular use of general office equipment.
