Description

Position Summary

TG Natural Resources (TGNR), located in downtown Houston, is hiring a Staff Division Order Analyst to support its upstream business. TGNR operates wells in East Texas. This senior role sits within the Land Administration team and works closely with Accounting, Legal, Marketing, and Operations.

The ideal candidate is an experienced division order professional who can interpret complex title opinions and existing overriding royalty interests, build accurate division order decks, and make sure revenue is distributed correctly and on time. Responsibilities

- Title and Ownership
- Analyze complex title opinions, deeds, probate records, trust agreements, assignments, affidavits, and related instruments to determine mineral, royalty, and working interest ownership in operated and non-operated assets.
- Review and interpret existing overriding royalty interests, term assignments, and lease burdens, and confirm they are correctly reflected in ownership.
- Identify title defects, obtain and review curative material, and recommend actions on title requirements, waivers, and curative matters.
- Division of Interest and Decks
- Calculate, review, and approve division of interest (DOI) for new wells, units, and tracts.
- Build and maintain accurate revenue and JIB decks to support timely and correct revenue distribution.
- Prepare and issue division orders and supplemental division orders.
- Update DOI for payouts, recompletions, unit revisions, and ownership transfers.
- Verify decimal interests on outside-operated division orders.
- Revenue Support and Owner Relations
- Respond to interest owner inquiries and coordinate with Accounting, Lease Records, Marketing, and Legal to resolve them.
- Research suspense items and support release of suspended funds and escheat reporting.
- Team Support
- Train and mentor less experienced Division Order Analysts.
- Support acquisitions, divestitures, and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor’s degree.
- 12+ years of division order experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Advanced ability to interpret title opinions, conveyances, and ownership documents, including overriding royalty interests and other burdens.
- Proven experience building and auditing DOI and division order decks for operated and non-operated assets.
- Strong knowledge of East Texas and Haynesville ownership issues.
- Ability to produce accurate, timely work with minimal supervision.
- Advanced Excel skills for well setup and DOI calculations. Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn new applications.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the patience and professionalism to handle interest owner inquiries.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and individuals at all levels.

Preferred

- Experience with acquisitions, divestitures, and ownership conversions.
- Quorum experience
- DOA certification.
