Position Summary

As a Commercial Transport Technician / Truck and Transport Technician, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on a diverse range of commercial vehicles and equipment. Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision

What You'll Do

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and vehicle systems

- Perform complex mechanical repairs following documented procedures and manufacturer standards

- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services

- Complete Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) inspections where licensed

- Repair and maintain:

Heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks

- Transit buses

- Highway trucks and commercial vehicles

- Fire trucks

- Construction equipment

- Trailers

- RVs

- Generators

- Various commercial and industrial equipment

- Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, warranty documentation, and timesheets

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

- Participate in an on-call emergency service rotation as required

- Support and mentor junior technicians when applicable

- In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

Completes complex internal engine repairs

- Performs engine overhauls unassisted

- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components

- Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Compensation and Benefits
