JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News Media is seeking an experienced Booker to join the team. The ideal candidate is an energetic and proactive self-starter with a positive attitude. He or she will build upon prior relationships with high-profile guests and stop at nothing to book newsmakers and exclusive interviews. As a booker, you strive in breaking news and are familiar with setting up shoots, interviews, and town halls in the field.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Book guests under the deadline pressure of a daily live show
- Work in a fast-paced control room environment and actively book guests in real time as news develops
- React quickly to breaking news and pivot guest bookings based on evolving editorial needs
- Track down difficult-to-find people using social media and other research tools
- Develop and maintain relationships with newsmakers, experts, and other potential guests
- Work collaboratively with co-workers to determine the best approach to securing high-profile interviews
- Pitch unique, timely stories and compelling guests
- Conduct pre-interviews and gather relevant background information to prepare the production team
- Demonstrate strong news judgment and a thorough knowledge of current events
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, live control room environment and actively book guests in real time as news develops
- Identify and secure compelling guests, including newsmakers, experts, analysts, and relevant voices
- Develop and maintain a strong network of sources and guest contacts
- Pitch timely, relevant guest ideas aligned with the show’s editorial priorities
- Conduct pre-interviews and provide producers and anchors with relevant background and talking points
- React quickly to breaking news and pivot bookings as editorial needs change
- Coordinate guest logistics and communicate effectively with producers, anchors, and the control room
- Demonstrate strong news judgment, knowledge of current events, and the ability to identify the right guest for each segment
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines simultaneously in a high-pressure environment

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-93,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
